This reminds me of a Chinese short story, 'The Good Deed' a little excerpt from the wise grandmother: 'Men have no wisdom in these things...an ugly woman is always more grateful when a man chooses her, and she is a better wife.' The Book of Proverbs would agree, too. Still, ugly is a such a hateful word, and isn't it true that men style something as beautiful when they begin to love it?
